Meat Loaf Italiano with a Twist

Serves:                         2 to 8 people; This is a dish that can be made many different                                                     ways. It’s a great way to use up left over’s too.

What You’ll Need:   2 pounds of ground turkey or beef if you prefer.

Onion

Mushrooms (fresh or canned)

Bell pepper/red is good too

Crushed crackers or bread crumbs

Garlic salt (or fresh chopped garlic)

1 large can of spaghetti sauce

Pepper, Italian seasoning, Parmesan cheese

2 loaf pans

(Opt.) 10 hard boiled eggs peeled

Instructions:           Pre-heat oven to 350°. In large bowl, add meat, veggies

(chopped). Sprinkle crackers or bread crumbs over the top

of the mixture. Then sprinkle garlic salt, pepper, and Italian

seasoning over the whole top of mixture. Add ½ can of                                                               spaghetti sauce and mix well. Put a ½ layer of met in each pan.

Push eggs into meat and add the remaining mixture over eggs.

Insert eggs by pushing down around edges of meat to make a                                                    mound. Cover meat with remaining spaghetti sauce. Bake for 45                                              minutes then cover top of meat with parmesan cheese kind of thick.                                        Place back in oven for another 15 minutes. Cheese should look                                                 toasty. Serve with salad with Italian dressing, no bread. Also

good for lunches.
