Sometimes as humans we just want what we want, and we want it now. And that’s okay, but it doesn’t always happen the way you think it should, or come the way you imagined it would. Then you start doubting that it will ever come and you give up. That’s when you should take a step back and give yourself a break. The thing that you have to realize is that it is your attitude that brings what you desire or keeps it away. When you are trying to create something you want in your life it can get a little frustrating or make you angry. And that is also okay. When those feelings come up it is best to let them run their course and crash and burn, so to speak. But there is no reason to be upset with yourself for feeling negative feelings, it’s just the Universe’s way of showing you that there is a better path to explore. After giving yourself sufficient time to feel better, by taking a nap or taking a walk or petting your dog or cat, you can keep moving forward. Just keep doing the best you can do for now. Seriously, that’s all you can do. And everytime you start again it gets easier and better. Every step toward your desired outcome is a learning experience, telling you yes, this feels right, or no, this feels wrong. Then you can redirect your thoughts to improve or continue on the path you’re on. If you keep going you will eventually figure out what you need to know, no matter how long it takes. It’s actually up to you and how you feel on how long it takes. The only way to fail, is to quit. But your desire for whatever it is you want is not going to go away. Law of attraction won’t let it go away. It will keep gnawing at you, which will either make you miserable or it will get you moving toward it. Give yourself permission to feel the way you feel. There is no reason to be perfect all the time. If that were the case, no one would ever need to try anything new. And to create anything new, you are bound to make mistakes. So just pat yourself on the back and move on.
Here is a tip on how to get or create what you want without negative criticism. Don’t talk about your good ideas with anyone who might bring you down. Let the ideas flow through you until they become so solid that no one can detour you. That’s another reason to pat yourself on the back and even high five yourself in the mirror every time you pass one. I know these things sound silly, but it truly is up to you to keep yourself in a good mood. Actually that is the key to everything good. This is something that has taken me a while to learn. But now I am feeling so good most of the time that it feels magical. Things I barely think about just seem to show up. And I’m realizing that this is really the way it is supposed to be.
Listen, it takes a lot of practice to change your mindset, especially if you have been on a negative spiral for a long time. This is caused by the law of attraction. The only law that matters, by the way. You always get what you focus on, good or bad. So don’t you think it’s about time to change those negative thoughts into positive ones? Once you figure out how to start thinking better thoughts, you will definitely feel a new vibe running through your veins. But no one feels good 24/7, and that is perfectly perfect. The trick is to keep reminding yourself that you can change how you feel, and practice every chance you get. Then when things pop up that seem to be wrong, because you are practicing better thoughts, you will be more solution minded than problem minded.
Now, how do you get yourself moving forward toward positive thoughts after years of the opposite? Well, you can start by paying attention to how you feel. You know, it’s okay to say no. Yes, when someone asks you to do something, and you feel in your gut that you don’t want to do it, it’s okay to say no. But you care about this person and you don’t want to disappoint them. Or it is some authority figure, like a parent, but you’re an adult now, you can make your own decisions. This is where caring about how you feel is crucial. If you’re only doing something for someone because you don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, you’ll just end up resenting the other person or taking it out on yourself by being angry. But if you politely say no, you will feel better and they will get over it. You’ll see that when you start caring about how you feel, people will respond in kind. And the ones who don’t will just go away. Remember, the law of attraction will always bring you what you feel in your soul. The deeper the feelings are the faster what you want will come. Feelings are the Universe’s way of letting us know that we are on the right track. It is a communication that is undeniable when you truly trust and let life flow through you. Do things that make you happy. Life is too short to wait for the right time. People say, “I’ll be happy when…”, but that may never come. Being happy now is all there is. Have more fun and treat everyday as a new beginning. And most importantly, be true to yourself. As Abraham-Hicks says, “If it’s not a hell yes, then it’s a hell no”. I have to say I agree with this statement wholeheartedly. In fact I have made it my motto. It really helps me make decisions a lot quicker. And you know what, it works.I really feel it in my gut. The more you do only what you want, the more worthy you will feel, and this is self love. This is the most important LOVE of all. Remember, I said this is an attraction based Universe. What you put out, you get back. So put as much love out to the Universe as you can. Love just because it feels good. If you continue to practice love, eventually your cup will runneth over and life will feel magical to you too.
There are many different methods to practicing love. One way is to pet your cat, if you have one, and you love it. I know that when my cat and I are cuddling I feel an almost overwhelming sense of love flowing between the two of us. Animals are the easiest ones to feel love from because they are pure love. Another way to feel yourself with love is to do something you are passionate about. It could be painting, or writing, or sculpting, or playing the piano. It doesn’t matter what it is as long as it fills your joy bucket. Being happy is definitely a form of self love.
Here is another suggestion on how to find joy more often. When you have a task to do, it is best to line up with it vibrationally. Like tuning a radio, you have to dial into the right station. For example: When you have a sink full of dishes, and there are no clean ones left, you know you have to eventually wash them, right? But it’s not your favorite thing to do. So you need to talk to yourself and say, “I sure do like it when the kitchen is clean. It always makes me feel good after the task is finished. And I do like being able to get a dish out of the cupboard when I’m hungry”. Then you start feeling inspired to get that job done. You can do this with everything in life. Just find a way to make it fun or at least not so bad. And being clean and organized is a good way to feel good anyway.
Lining up with something is also known as pre-paving. Whether it is doing the dishes or going out dancing it is important to pre-pave the undergoing, and seeing it as a playful experience. When I’m putting dishes in the dishwasher, I think of it as a puzzle. I try to fit as much in as possible in a very organized manner. I know it sounds silly, but that’s the point. When you’re having a good time doing whatever it is you are doing, you are loving.
Now I know that when I’m going out dancing I am going to have a great time. I expect it to be fun and so it is. That’s an easy one for me. But it shows that even when you are going to do something fun, you can still pre-pave the experience by expecting it and it becomes even more fun.
You see, what you are aiming for, or at least I hope you are, is to have so much love flowing from you that you can honestly say, “My cup does runneth over with pure love”. It will probably, no, most likely, no, most certainly, take time to fill your cup, but that doesn’t matter. The fun is most certainly in the journey, so pay attention to all moments of your life. This way you have a chance to redirect your thoughts and let the Universe or whomever you believe in, show you the path to get anything your heart desires. Find as much joy as you can in every moment of every day. I promise you that failure is not an option when you live your life in this manner. But if being happy and in love with your life is not something you’re after, that’s okay too. I just won’t be running into you any time soon, because my happiness is like a protective shield. It repels negativity so well I don’t even notice it. But that’s just me.
Okay , let’s go back over the message in this blog. Do you know what it is? Okay, I’ll tell you. You only fail if you quit! But you can’t quit because the Universe won’t let you. You will always have that desire once you put it out there. So you may as well go with the flow and stop struggling to do things you don’t even like doing. And to keep your cup overflowing with pure love. Just love everything and everyone. It works. As simple as it sounds though, remember it does take practice, conscious and continuous practice. Until your subconscious mind believes and takes over automatically. You see, your subconscious mind doesn’t reason or ask why, it just believes what you tell it and acts out everything you focus on. So do yourself a favor and focus on only what you want and leave the rest out. You are the only one that matters when it comes to your happiness. Everyone else is responsible for their own lives. So everyone is off the hook of trying to keep anyone else but themselves happy.
