A Quest for Joy
People often believe that joy is something external, something they must chase or find. But the truth is, joy comes from within. It’s not about searching for it out in the world—it’s about discovering it inside yourself.
When seeking joy, ask yourself: What does joy mean to me?
Have you ever considered that there is an entire universe inside your mind? Through meditation, you can access that inner world—a place where you can imagine, create, and shape the life you desire. Joy is a choice, and it’s one you can make no matter your circumstances. Even a prisoner can choose joy. That may sound strange, but think about it. The only thing we truly own is our mind. We have the power to choose our thoughts, and the choices we make determine whether we move closer to joy or farther away from it.
Just because you’ve always believed something doesn’t mean you have to keep believing it. As we grow, our beliefs should evolve with us. That doesn’t mean abandoning everything you’ve ever known—it simply means letting go of what no longer serves you.
How Do You Find Your Joy?
If you’re asking this question, you’re already on the right path. When we talk to ourselves, we’re speaking to our inner being—the part of us that still exists in the spiritual realm. This part of us knows the answers we seek. The key is to listen.
Answers can come in many forms—a song lyric that resonates, a message on a roadside sign, a conversation with a stranger who unexpectedly says exactly what you needed to hear. Have you ever heard the phrase, "God works in mysterious ways"? It’s true. But when you start paying attention, life doesn’t seem so mysterious.
Even when difficult things happen, life is still meant to be good. Every challenge holds a silver lining—you just have to look for it.
Reclaiming Your Power
Think back to childhood—how magical the world seemed, how easy it was to find joy in the simplest things. But as you grew up, others filled your mind with fear and doubt. Now, as an adult, you have the power to choose again. You can leave fear and dread behind.
We all have more power than we realize. When we reclaim that power, life becomes more joyful. Everything has two sides—positive and negative. The more we focus on the positive, the more positive things come our way. It’s not about ignoring difficulties but about seeing them as just things—neither good nor bad, simply experiences.
Remember: Where focus goes, energy flows.
The Law of Attraction works whether we believe in it or not. But once you become aware of it, you’ll start to see how your thoughts shape your reality.
Manifesting Joy
Now is the time to ask for what you want. Feel what it’s like to already have it, to already be it. Then, let it come to you. Love everything and everyone with all your heart. Give thanks for everything—every single day.
Joy is yours for the asking. We all deserve to be happy, no matter what anyone else thinks. Be your own boss. Live your most authentic life. And always remember—there is great love for you here.
With love,
Deb Mertan
